I'm on my second pregnancy and something still bothers me... People making comments on how your showing and touching my belly without asking.
I'm not one to mind friends and family touching my belly without asking but I do mind strangers at walmart coming up to me and touching my belly. Older people are the worst I do believe and it weirds me out. I don't like to be rude but I don't think I am if I tell you not to touch me because they were rude first by not asking! Walmart is obviously just an example but any place out in public. I don't want your germs and its just plain rude!
Then there are the ridiculous comments... Wow are you having twins? Or when are you due because you look like you might pop any day? My favorite lately has been "Your huge". What a way to make someone feel embarrassed. Especially from perfect strangers!
I do realize I was big with my daughter towards the end and bed rest did not help and I'm going through this once again but I'm already emotional as it is and most people do know preggers are likely to be sensitive or "overly emotional" and it would be nice for people to realize its not nice whether it was intended to be or not.
Oh I forgot the other comment... Wow you look really tired and miserable; are you ok? Lord how this one just really grates my cheese... People shut up and just walk away. Or just say how are you doing these days? I'm aware of my bags under my eyes, hair isn't fixed, and that I'm getting no sleep and running after a 2 year old all day and I'm on bed rest. Thanks for the memo but your a little late!!!!!!
Have people forgotten to common courtesy and if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all?
Well that's all I have for today on this issue!
Just another day in paradise!
